“Smuggling pads into the bathroom like it’s some sort of illegal drug got to be the worst adaptation to patriarchy.”

Educating young girl on the menstrual cycle at an adolescent stage is beneficial to their social life. Most girls with no education on menstruation during menarche get troubled and feel shy to seek help from others. It is, therefore, necessary to educate the girl child on menstruation and what they need to do during their menses.
We had a call from the administration of Bosco Catholic Junior High School. They wanted us to organize a talk for the students on education and advise them to stay focused on academics.
The entire school was our audience for the program but, we engaged the girls mostly because our interest was in the girl child. The talk was in three phases, the importance of education, sex education and personal hygiene.
We discussed the importance of education to the girl child and how girls are doing well and achieving things for themselves. We also educated them on the need to focus on their education and not drop out.
Health personnel who joined the session took us through personal hygiene, centring more on ladies during their menstrual period. We also educated them on their need and how to keep their body clean.
We shared sanitary pads for all the girls since it was a problem for most girls. Most of them could not afford to buy sanitary pads, so they resort to staying home during their menses.
We want to raise a generation of peculiar ladies, touch lives and bring primary healthcare to deprived communities. Donate to our charity to support our vision.
