The Senior High School Impact Project is an initiative by the Peculiar Women of Substance Foundation to impact senior high schools in Ghana and beyond. The project is meant to help young adults at the senior high level discover themselves and their potential, connect to God, and find their purpose in life.
For this purpose, when the Afife Senior High Technical School invited us for a visit, we did not take it lightly. Afife Senior High Technical School is a public mixed school in the Volta Region of Ghana.
With the help of our cherished donors and volunteers, the Peculiar Women of Substance Foundation stormed the school on the 22nd of October 2022 intending to leave a lasting impact. As part of the activities, the student body was taken through a series of sections on STIs, and career choices, among others.
The sessions aimed at addressing specific social issues, encouraging students in their pursuit of education, empowering them to become change-makers, and equipping them with the knowledge that will help them make positive impacts on both the school community and the wider society.
Through the benevolence of our donors, we also donated 3 graph boards which cost around 5,000 Ghanaian cedis to replace the worn-out ones the school was managing.
The PWS Senior High Impact Project proved to be highly impactful after the project’s launch at Amedzorfe Senior High Technical School. And thanks to all our partners, the entire Afife Senior High Technical School community has seen a tangible impact and instilled lifelong values in the students.
